Impact Through Food Assistance
As per the United Nations, nine out of ten Syrians presently grapple with poverty, facing challenges in acquiring essential food and non-food items crucial for household survival. With sixty percent of the population at risk of food insecurity, this marks the highest percentage recorded during the Syrian conflict. Inside Syria, nearly 7 million individuals have been displaced from their homes.
Orphans of syria extends vital support to thousands of registered families through its monthly provision of food baskets. Additionally, we supply milk and baby formula to 20,000 vulnerable families with infants and young children.
Work History
Amidst the prolonged Syrian conflict, approximately 175 medical facilities have been obliterated, and a staggering 700 medical personnel have tragically lost their lives. Further exacerbating the crisis, half of the country’s physicians have fled, leaving Syria with one of the most dire healthcare systems globally. The pervasive poverty has drained all resources, resulting in a scarcity of qualified medical personnel, inadequate administration of vital vaccines and medical supplies, fuel shortages affecting ambulances and field hospital generators, and heightened challenges in delivering urgent medical aid. Regrettably, the situation shows no signs of improvement.
